1. ACL Reconstruction
An ACL injury is a tear or sprain in the anterior cruciate ligament, one of the strong tissue bands connecting the femur to the tibia. Cruciate ligament injuries are most common in sports that involve sudden stops or changes of direction, jumping, and landing, such as soccer, basketball, and skiing.
2. PCL Reconstruction
Posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is an operation to replace the torn posterior cruciate ligament and restore stability to the knee joint. The posterior cruciate ligament is the largest ligament in the knee, twice as thick and strong as the anterior cruciate ligament, and prevents the tibia from rolling back too far.
3. Meniscus Repair / Meniscectomy
A meniscectomy is an operation to remove all or part of the cartilage around the knee (called the meniscus). Your doctor may suggest removal of all or part of the meniscus if the meniscus is torn.
